Who is this Website for?

This website is intended to serve economic development and chamber of commerce professionals, as well as community leaders, planners, organizers, and advocates working on economic recovery efforts for a disaster-impacted community.

This website provides critical information, resources and strategies that communities can use to start engaging in economic recovery prior to and/or following disasters of different types and proportions. This website also serves as an online community portal whereby recovery stakeholders can ask questions and share information.

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) defines economic development as “a program, group of policies, or activity that seeks to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for a community, by creating and/or retaining jobs that facilitate growth and provide a stable tax base”.
