Collaborative Planning: Engagement of the Whole Community Webinar
The Community Preparedness Webinar Series, hosted by FEMA’s Citizen Corps Program, provides up-to-date information on community preparedness topics and resources available to emergency managers, community organizations, and the general public. Citizen Corps is FEMA’s grassroots strategy to bring together government and community leaders to involve citizens in all-hazards emergency preparedness and resilience.
Collaborative Planning: Engagement of the Whole Community will provide an introduction to emergency planning, including an update on the changes to FEMA’s Comprehensive Planning Guide (CPG) 101 v.2.0 – the planning guidance for state, territorial, tribal, and local planners. Key to emergency planning is the involvement of the entire community in both the planning process and implementation of the plan. Webinar participants will gain an increased understanding of the CPG 101 standardized planning process and how to engage the necessary individuals and groups as part of the planning team.
