Webinar: How to Engage Local Businesses in Critical Disaster Preparation Activities
On December 5th, 2012, IEDC hosted a webinar How to Engage Local Businesses in Critical Disaster Preparation Activities as part of the 2012 webinar series. The webinar focused on the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to establish the Business Continuity Planning Council in 2004 response to interest by local defense and IT contractors on this topic. It covers how the chamber created an effective business continuity training program; methods to successfully recruit local businesses; and how to encourage local business owners to implement business preparedness activities.
