East Central Vermont Resilience Work Following Hurricane Irene Highlighted in NADO’s Series, “Lessons from the Storm: Case Studies on Economic Recovery and Resilience”
The NADO Research Foundation has released the latest installment of its case study series, Lessons from the Storm: Case Studies on Economic Recovery and Resilience. The series highlights how regional development organizations have addressed the impacts of natural disasters, built resilience to future events, and increased long-term economic competitiveness and quality of life within their regions. The newest case study describes how the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commissionhelped identify critical infrastructure damage, buyout flood prone properties, and incorporate sustainability and economic resilience into ongoing planning efforts throughout the region.
