Free Session – Building Resilience Into Your Economy

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC), in partnership with the Texas Economic Development Council(TEDC), invites you to attend this free session June 9 from 1:30-2:30.

This session takes place in conjunction with TEDC’s Mid-Year conference and is free and open to the public. Attendees are only permitted to attend this session. If you would like to attend other sessions of the conference, please register for the conference.

Session Description:
Everyone’s talking about resilience, but what does it mean for your community? Is your EDO prepared for the next event? If something destroyed multiple businesses tomorrow, do you have strategies in place to quickly recover economically? Without resilience, much of your hard work to grow the local economies can be rapidly reversed and take years to rebuild. With so much at stake, it’s crucial to build capacity and resilience measures into your plans. This session will explore real-world examples and strategies that can be replicated in your community to help you and your businesses create a resilient economy.
