Mar 30, 2011 – About Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI)’s Online Symposium in March 2011

The Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI) held a free online symposium in March 2011 on Community Recovery from Disaster. The target audience were public risk managers, city managers, and other officials of local governments, NGO’s and small businesses. The online symposia presented a series of short papers (4 to 6 pages) contributed by authors, with a new paper posted each day for viewing and comment. Apart of this symposium, Chuck Wemple, Economic Development Program Manager of the Houston-Galveston Area Council and Manager of the Gulf Coast Economic Development District, presented an article on post-disaster economic recovery issues in Texas.
