Tags | Publications
This EDA Austin Region needs assessment memo was conducted to assist the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) to develop a deeper understanding of communities’ and regions’ needs related to preparedness and post-disaster economic recovery.
The assessment was conducted for the EDA Austin Region that consists of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas. The assessment analyzed federal disaster data sets to determine where businesses were mostly likely affected by disasters. The assessment also examined data from a scan that was sent to economic developers and alike professionals of the region. The scan data and federal data sets will be used to help shape the locations and topics of webinars, grants, and publications to be delivered by IEDC in the region.
