Three Things from This Week

RestoreYourEconomy, a project of IEDC and the EDA, continues to be updated with new information and resources regarding the COVID-19 epidemic and its impact on economic developers and the communities they serve. Here's what we've covered this week: 

1.) Share Your Story We want to hear from you about how your organizations are supporting communities and gathering information during this time. Fill out our  and put COVID-19 in the Subject field - we'll reach out for more information!

2.) The Federal Updates section contains information about the CARES Act, as well as updates about federal departments’ response. The entire economic development profession is closely watching federal legislation - CEO and President Jeff Finkle and Vice President of Policy, Programs and Communications Matt Mullin gave a webinar this afternoon detailing the allocations of the $2 trillion package, which will be recapped on our Webinars page next week. 

3.) The Assistance for Businesses and Employers section contains examples of how communities across the nation are structuring financial programs such as loans and grants, as well as resources on business continuity. One very helpful resource that was featured this week is a Guide and Checklist from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for small businesses and non-profits attempting to access the Paycheck Protection Program.
