PPE Manufacturing and Distribution

A recent webinar hosted by the American Manufacturing Communities Collaborative (AMCC) details a predictive model for distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) that was developed by Washington-based Restart Partners and implemented by the Economic Development Corporation of Utah. Speakers included Theresa Foxley, President/CEO of Economic Development Corporation of Utah and Rich Tong and Bharat Shyam, co-founders of Restart Partners.

This model uses NAICS codes to determine which businesses are most in need of PPE, and proposes other models based on job types according to SOC codes. In Utah, this model was used to determine state funding for PPE to businesses most in need, resulting in "Push Packs" of essential equipment delivered to 3,601 companies in every county of the state.
