On March 28th, 2013 IEDC hosted a webinar on developing a post-disaster economic recovery plan with Jerry Bologna, Executive Director of Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO). Following Hurricane Katrina, JEDCO quickly mobilized civic and business leaders to develop an economic recovery plan with a vision for building back stronger.
The webinar provides an overview of how to reevaluate economic development objectives in light of vulnerabilities exposed by a disaster; how to engage both private and public sector as recovery partners; and how to develop an economic recovery plan with short- and long-term strategies, action steps and resources.
