Disaster Supplemental NOFO 2019
In August, the Economic Development Administration released the Fiscal Year 2019 (FY2019) Disaster Supplemental Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). This year’s Disaster Supplemental NOFO makes $587 million available to eligible grantees in communities impacted by Presidentially declared natural disasters in 2018, and floods and tornadoes in 2019. This includes floods and tornadoes in 2019 that took place after the NOFO declaration.
The EDA disaster grants are administered through the EDA Regional Offices. Applications should be based on long-term, regionally-oriented, and collaborative development strategies that foster economic growth and resilience. Disaster recovery projects should also be aligned with EDA investment priorities.
There are no application deadlines for the Disaster Supplemental NOFO 2019, and submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis. Awards will be granted on a rolling basis until the funds run out. The 2018 Disaster Supplemental is also still open to applicants. Eligible grantees for the 2018 Disaster Supplemental are those with Presidentially declared disasters in 2017.
